Launch checklist for your loyalty program

Before launching your loyalty program, it’s important to review a few key settings to make sure everything works as expected for your customers.

This checklist walks you through the essential steps to set up and launch your program smoothly.

1. Enable BLOY app embed

Make sure the BLOY app embed is enabled in your Shopify theme so loyalty elements can appear on your storefront.


2. Configure Ways to earn points

Set up how customers earn points, such as placing an order, signing up, or celebrating a birthday.

At this stage, focus on:

  • Enabling the earning actions you want to offer
  • Setting clear and simple point values

3. Configure Ways to Redeem Points

Next, define how customers can redeem their points for rewards.

This includes:

  • Choosing reward types (discounts, store credit, free products, etc)
  • Setting minimum point requirements

4. Enable the Loyalty Widget

The loyalty widget allows customers to easily access your loyalty program from anywhere on your store.

To enable it:

  1. Go to Branding > Widget icon
  2. Make sure Show on desktop and Show on mobile are both enabled under Visibility


Tip: On mobile, screen space is limited. Many stores choose to display the icon only (without text) for a cleaner experience. You can also customize widget colors to match your brand’s color palette.


5. Set Up a Loyalty Page (Optional)

If your plan includes a dedicated loyalty page, you can create one and add it to your store’s navigation menu.

6. Enable Email Notifications

BLOY provides built-in email templates to notify customers about loyalty activities such as earning points or unlocking rewards.

To enable emails:

  • Go to Settings > Email configurations
  • Turn on the email notifications you want to use


If you’re using an email marketing platform like Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or Omnisend, you can also integrate BLOY and build custom workflows instead.

Tip: Sender name and sender email are set to BLOY by default. Remember to update them to match your brand before going live.


7. Final Review Before Launch

Before launching:

  • Place a test order
  • Earn points
  • Redeem a reward
  • Check widget visibility on desktop and mobile
  • Confirm emails are sent correctly

Once these steps are complete, your loyalty program is ready to launch.
