How BLOY counts your monthly orders

How BLOY counts your monthly orders

Monthly Order Usage is the number of orders counted toward your plan's monthly limit during each billing cycle. Understanding how orders are counted helps you monitor your usage and avoid unexpected charges.

When does an order count?

An order is counted toward your Monthly Order Usage at the moment it is created, not when it is paid or fulfilled. Two conditions must be met for an order to count:

  • Your Points Program is turned on.
  • The order has customer information attached.

How orders are counted

  • Each order is counted once at the time it is created. It is not counted again in the following month.
  • If you turn off the Points Program mid-cycle, orders created after that point will not be counted. Orders already counted are not removed.
  • Pre-orders count at the time they are created. They are not counted again when fulfilled.

When does usage reset?

Your Monthly Order Usage resets every 30 days on the Renew date shown in the BLOY app. The Renew date is displayed in your store's timezone, so you can easily see when your next billing cycle begins.

What happens when you reach your limit?

What happens depends on whether you're using the Free plan or a paid plan. For a detailed explanation of usage notifications, overage charges, and what happens after reaching your limit, see How order limits and overage charges work.

Common questions

Does a cancelled or refunded order count toward my limit?

Yes. Once an order is created and counted, it stays counted even if it is later cancelled or refunded. The usage is not returned.

Does a draft order count?

No. Draft orders are not counted until they are converted into a real order.

Does a guest checkout order count toward my Monthly Order Usage?

Yes. Guest checkout orders count toward your Monthly Order Usage as long as the order includes customer information. Customers do not need to create an account or sign up for your loyalty program for the order to be counted.
